Termite Control

Eastern subterranean termites stay active under Central Illinois homes year-round. As an authorized Sentricon dealer, we eliminate the colony, not just the termites you can see.

Signs you may have termites

  • Mud tubes on foundation walls, piers or basement walls
  • Swarms of winged termites, or piles of discarded wings near windows and doors in spring
  • Wood that sounds hollow when tapped or is damaged along the grain
  • Bubbling paint, sagging floors or sticking doors and windows
  • Moisture problems, wood touching soil or mulch piled against the foundation

How we handle it

  1. 01

    Inspect

A termite inspection is $120, and that amount goes toward treatment if you have termites and choose to move forward. If you don’t, we’ll tell you.

  2. 02

    Install Sentricon stations

Bait stations go into the soil around your home’s perimeter. No trenching around the foundation and no drilling through slabs, garage floors or patios.

  3. 03

    Eliminate the colony

Foraging termites prefer the bait over wood and carry it back to share with the colony, including the workers that feed the queen.

  4. 04

    Stay protected

Termites don’t take the winter off, so the stations stay in place for year-round protection.

Good to know

  • Swarm season is when termites become visible, not when they become active. The colony was there long before.
  • Liquid barriers keep termites out of the building but leave the colony alive. Sentricon removes it.
  • Sentricon is the system used to protect the Statue of Liberty and the White House grounds.
  • Buying or selling? We work with realtors, buyers and sellers across the Tri-County area.
